London 2011

EUROPEAN SHAKUHACHI SUMMER SCHOOL LONDON, 28th – 31st July 2011

The 2011 ESS Shakuhachi Summer School 2011 was held in London at the School of African and Oriental Studies (SOAS), University of London, Vernon Square Campus.
The program consisted of four days of intensive study and playing, evening performances, including a students’ concert, and talks on different aspects of Shakuhachi. For the first time, the Summer School featured a two 2-day intensive workshops on making your own Shakuhachi.
The Summer School was organised by Kiku Day and Michael Soumei Coxall.
